After a really long drawn out 208 lap race in Daytona, David Reutimann gave his wife Lisa a terrific Valentines gift! With the restarts after the pot hole repair, he just kept gaining and finished 5th! His personal best at the Daytona 500! Actually, all three of the Waltrip Racing team cars did fabulous. Martin Truex Jr. was 6th and the ol boy himself, (that would be Michael) finished 18th.
Congratulations to my favorite Nascar Daddy,... David it looks like its gonna be a great year. Emi give your daddy a hug for me too!
Other kudos go to Shane Wilson, crew chief for Clint Bowyer, I honestly think they could have won it had the splitter not been damaged on Bowyers car after he hit the patched pothole, but they still managed to pull of fourth and had run really strong at the front several times through out the race.
It is going to be a really fun year to watch our friends do so well. And then of course we have Emilia, Lisa and Dana all showing their horses, another fun and exciting group to watch this year, I'll keep you posted on them as well, (probably more then on the guys (-:)
