Quick update

NBHA BELIZE IS HERE!!! WE B OFFICIAL! Our first NBHA run is March 25th at 11:00. See Fb and NBHA Belize if you want more info.

House on hold till Chucks surgeries go well and he can function again.

BEA is up to 23 students, I am running out of time slots and had to add a 4th day to go down that dang road...But I am happy we are busy. And my students are great! They range from 4 to in their 50's...

Weather has been hot and dry but have had rain now for two days and Im so glad, great way to kick off the dry season...

Still have one of Belas "belizian shepermans" to find a good home.

Busy busy life is good...

New Year, exciting 2012

Hoping for all of our plans to go well for the upcoming year. NBHA Belize will be our biggest project and many changes to the BEA are in the works as well.

AND...our own lilttle guest house is in the planning stages and hopefully started after my return in April! YEAY!!! A real bed and a real kitchen, ohhh, and a real bathroom and...sigh...

More progress

After two months of cleaning and bandaging daily, this filly is gonna be fine! There was a 1/2 inch bone area on lateral side and a Proud Flesh product had been used inappropriately on a fresh wound...the lil blue shreds are the remains of the latex stuff that had smeared all over it. Owner was diligent and took over all wrapping/cleaning after three weeks and has done a remarkable job.

A few things going well...

This stud foundered probably over a yr and half ago when he was brought in to country...the hauler has killed many horses and foundered a bunch...then foundered again after he hit a post after being run into the rail at a race track. But again, months ago. Owner to put him back on the track...Uhm yeah no promises there.

he is a much happier boy with his Combi pads on
This little mare had hung her foot up somehow and abcessed 3/4s around and was sloughing her sole, heels and much of her wall. Would not bear weight at all. Now will bare enough to not have to rock onto her hinds to move and we seem to be creating new sole and heels, keeping fingers crossed for rull recovery.
Hopefully will be able to do a real trim next month. She was in so much pain it was all I could do to just try to get some balance after all dead hoof was removed

Random Pics from the TCER and Barrel Race

Hannah Pershing, riding Lil Bit, last years Champion Horse, swept the three championships and the $1500.00 Hannah and Lil Bit have been trained by the BEA and Marjie Olson and Lil B is an amazing natural endurance horse, coupled with Hannahs light weight and talent, it has been an awesome team and one Marjie has been proud to train.
Asad Bedran, riding his super cool horse Pinto, kept us all running hard and ended up winning the Pole and the Barrel Championship Breast collars that were sponsored by Light Rein Farm of Cayo. marjie is just presenting...
Jimmy of Reimers Feed Mill, one of the TCER's most supportive sponsors, was there to present the big trophy and the Uckele and Bio Meds products, to Hannah. A huge thanks to Reimers and all of our sponsors.
Johnny Roberson of Olde Mill presented Cesar Xi his 2nd place trophy and products from Uckele and Bio Meds.
Jeff Roberson of Yalbac Ranch and Sawmill presents Joel neal his 3rd place trophy and Uckele and Bio Meds awards.
*************************************************************************
With out "Belize Natural Energy", our top paid sponsor and "Reimers Feed Mill" our Most supportive sponsor, this event could not even think of happening. Then of course, we have companies like Uckele, Yalbac Ranch and Sawmill and Belize Ag Report that contribute financially and with the support of articles and ads. But we must not forget our continued sponsors... Cheers Restaurant, San Ignacio Hotel, Carribean Treasures, Barn and Grill, Light Rein Farm and the Belize Equestrian Academy, Olde Mill, Banana Bank Lodge and John Carr. They have all helped us develop into the amazing event we have become. And this year we got to add two new sponsors, MEGA FOODS and RUNNNING W.
Thanks so much to everyone who supported, sponsored and attended the events! Look forward to 2012!
